Escaping Birds, Light in Flight

Each wax lamp begins as ink on glass, transferred to paper. Each lamp is entirely unique. Learn more about the step by step process of making wax lamps by clicking the button below, and feel free to contact SEAS art design if you’d like a custom lamp crafted similarly to those featured in the images on this site.
When creating art, SEAS art design does not merely make pretty objects. In fact, beauty is not a primary objective. Instead, SEAS art design aims to channel the pain and suffering Mother Nature endures at the hands of humans. The disregard with which humans destroy our one and only dear Earth is, quite frankly, disgusting. Humans too often value their personal comfort and convenience over the future of this planet.
We cannot survive without nature. We cannot survive without every single component of Earth’s incredibly complex ecosystems. Yet when we are told our actions must change immediately and drastically in order to stand the slightest chance against the man-made climate crisis which is already upon us, we sit back and continue to do… nothing? Being complacent in this turning point for humanity is ridiculously, unfathomably stupid.
I implore you to contemplate the deeper meanings behind SEAS art design. When viewing this art, consider the environmental impact of your individual actions. Reflect on how this art depicts sea life mangled by plastic, birds fleeing burning forests, and flashing lights drawing attention to the urgent necessity for drastic environmental action. Prioritize our one and only Earth over convenient luxuries. Recognize the privilege of having choices and, please, make the right choice - the natural choice.
Love and care for Mother Nature with urgent tenderness before Earth is destroyed by human’s complacent laziness.
